Reed is named after E.C. Reed, an early settler in the area who owned and operated a general store in the area. Reed is part of the Druid Hills area, which was named after the Druid Hills region of Atlanta. Druid Hills is a historic residential area of Atlanta, Georgia that is home to some of the city’s most affluent neighborhoods.
